For the time being we will meet indoors in two services, at 4:00pm & 5:30pm.

Each service will be capped at the number allowed by our seating map based on the size of attending groups. Everyone must sign up in advance at the link below.

Nursery is available at the 5:30pm service, read more about that here.

The 5:30pm service will be live streamed for remote participation.

From 5:00—5:30pm we will have fellowship outside under the heaters.

Safety Guidelines

Singing

We currently have corporate singing in the later part of each service, including the Agnus and Sanctus. We ask that those who sing refrain from doing so loudly or with much force.

Fellowship & Hospitality

Catching up with one another is important and encouraged, but we ask you to do so outside. Please do not congregate anywhere inside the building.

We have 5:00—5:30pm set aside as a time for hospitality and fellowship outside. We will provide hot water, tea, cider and cocoa. We’ll have cups but we encourage you to bring your own mug!

Distancing

We ask groups to maintain a distance of at least 6’ from each other whenever possible. Please be mindful of this as you move to your seat, fellowship outside or visit the restroom.

Seating in the sanctuary will be distanced according to the map below, maintaining 6’ between different groups.

Wellness

If you or anyone in your household are experiencing possible coronavirus, cold or flu symptoms, we ask that you join us online rather than attending in person that week.

Children

We offer nursery during our 5:30 service. Learn more about our safety precautions and find out how to register your child here.

As always, children are welcome in the sanctuary at all times!

Masks

As of May 16, masks will not be required at our worship gatherings, though we encourage you to continue to make safe and healthy choices for yourself and the community. The recent policies continue to recommend that masks be worn for various reasons; therefore, we anticipate that many will choose to wear masks for the foreseeable future.

Ventilation & Sanitation

We will keep all doors open during the service (this will likely bring down the temperature somewhat so plan accordingly.)

Between services we will sanitize high-touch surfaces like the backs of pews as well as the bathrooms.

Entrance, Exits & Flow

We will enter the sanctuary from the door nearest the greeting tent which opens into the narthex with the bathrooms. From there, enter the sanctuary and find a pew section that corresponds to the seating you registered for (blue: 1-2 people, purple: 2-3 people, green: 4-8 people—see map below!). Our verger will help you find seating if needed.

Once seated, remain in place until dismissed. We will exit through the door at the front of the sanctuary near the piano.

Restrooms

If you have to use the restroom in the middle of the service, you may exit through the back doors to the narthex. If you have to use the restroom other times, please exit near the piano and walk around outdoors to the door by the greeting tent.

Holy Communion

Please hold out your hands to receive the Eucharist, the priest or deacon will intinct the bread in the chalice and drop it into your hands.

A look inside.

Take a look at how we’ve set things up to allow for distancing and flow at our indoor services.

Seating is based on group size

When you sign up for one of our services, you will be asked to make a selection about your group size. We have seating options for 1-2 people (labeled in blue), 2-3 people (labeled in purple) and 4-8 people (labeled in green).

When you sign up, you are doing so on behalf of your group, so you will only ever select a quantity of 1 when asked.

If your preferred service is full, add yourself to the waitlist and we’ll make sure you are registered for that selection the following Sunday.

If you have any questions or trouble signing up for a service, please reach out to rebekah@redeemerasheville.com.
